What are veneers?
Veneers are used to cover the outside, or visible area, of the tooth. Although they can be placed anywhere, they are typically only used to cover teeth that are visible when talking or smiling. There are two techniques for placing dental veneers on the teeth: direct and indirect. The direct method to be completed by your dentists Flint MI involves using a bonding material to place composite resin on the outside of the tooth, a technique known as “bonding.” The indirect method may be spanned over two appointments. The first appointment will be used to prepare your teeth. Until the impressions have been fabricated, a temporary covering will be placed over your teeth. During a second appointment the temporary cover will be removed and the new veneers will be permanently bonded to your teeth.
